Shoal Creek is a woodland as much as a creek. Trees and shrubs border the creek for its entire length, giving birds and wildlife an important connection to Lady Bird Lake and the woodlands there. Countless migrant birds move along and through this corridor, offering these transients important shelter and foraging within one of America’s fastest growing cities.
The Cornell Laboratory of Ornithology has developed eBird, an on-line resource for bird sightings around the world. We enter our sightings into eBird, and then feed those sightings to the gadget below. If you are birding on Shoal Creek we urge you to submit your sightings to the Shoal Creek eBird hotspot as well.
